August 2

AM: 9 miles easy

I ran from work north on the Bay Trail to Bayfront Park: a grassy piece of (what I'm guessing is) former landfill in a quasi-industrial area. There were some decent trails, but the place stunk, literally. I'm guessing this will be my go-to shake-out run after work given how easily accessible it is.

August 1

AM: 7 miles easy

I got in a run in the morning around Stanford's campus, winding through the grove.

July 31

AM: 7 miles easy
PM: 8 miles easy

In the morning and evening, I ran through Foster City to find my way to the Bay Trail, which is about 3 miles using both routes. The evening run was a little more scenic, taking me to Seal Point Park. Once I'm a little more settled and have the time, I need to do some exploring of the Peninsula's more notable trails.

July 30

PM: 9 miles easy

After my first day of work at Facebook, I got in a run in the evening from my place in San Mateo, finding my way up to Laurelwood Park, which had some decent albeit short trails and some steep climbs.

July 29 (81 miles/week)

AM: 8 miles easy

Reed and I crashed at Will's place in Glen Park and ran to the Panhandle and back. It feels great not to run in the heat.

July 28

AM: 5 miles easy
PM: 7 miles easy

I stayed with Varner last night and ran easy with him in Marin before his marathon on Sunday. Later in the afternoon, Reed and I took a break from apartment hunting to run the Dish at Stanford.

July 27

AM: 11 miles easy

Last run in Durham for a while. I met Jason, Monk, and Rob and showed them the Forest Hills Park-WaDuke loop. In the late afternoon, I boarded a plane for San Francisco, culminating in one of the biggest months of change in my life.
