PM: 4 miles easy
I took my sweet time waking up this morning. After a 3-mile warmup, I felt like I wanted to go back to sleep. The plan for the workout was to start at 5:45-50 and start to cut down from there. Consequently, I was a little concerned when I was almost 15 second slow for my first mile. I gradually did work my way down; my transmission was just sticking a little bit. I ran three loops around the Meadowbrook Stables, adding on one mile at the end.
Splits for the loops: 13:53, 13:16, 12:55.
Mile splits that I took, including the last mile: 6:00, 5:43, 5:31, 5:19.
Even though I started slower than I wanted to, I did get close to where I wanted to be by the final mile (~5:15), so I guess it's still OK. My guess is that I fell victim to a little cumulative fatigue this morning.
I'm probably going to get out of work early today, which means I might sneak in the elusive, but often coveted, weekday afternoon nap.
