Got in an early morning shake-out before driving the 8+ hours back from Ohio. Great trip all around for several reasons aside from the race, which I've already discussed in length:
1.) Learned what an "A.C. Slater" is. And a growler. And a heater. They pretty much all mean the same thing.
2.) Saw Delilah of "Hey There Delilah" fame--and it turns out she's pretty damn quick. She won the women's race.
3.) A wilder than expected post-race party, where one or more runners were tasered by the cops. Turned out to be some of the Atlanta Track Club guys, who I've run with and raced against before.
