AM: 20 miles easy/moderate
Drove out to Edward's Ferry "Dual Ferries Loop" with Valerie and a solid GRC crew. I felt fair through the first 10, and after we stopped for Gatorade, etc., I started picking it up, and before I knew it, Bain and I were moving well, at least 6:00 pace and maybe down to MP. The trouble is, especially after this week and yesterday's run, this was probably way too early. As a result of my impatience, at about 1:45, I was starting to go into the red. Right at that point, Klim caught back up to us, and I begrudgingly backed off, taking the last 3.5 easy.
I got home, took and nap, and watched Bekele make the rest of the field look foolish in the 10,000 (again), with a disgusting last lap (:53...again), and an Olympic record (again). He makes it look so easy!
Thank god this week is over; it's been a rough one for running.
