AM: 8 miles easy
My first "real" run back. I felt fine, just a little bit stiff. I started a practice that I intend to continue in the months to come: wearing a heart-rate monitor on my recovery days (and probably a few workouts). I have officially come to the point where I have to babysit myself to make sure I stay in control.
I slept in after a long night in Baltimore. For some reason, whenever I go out in Baltimore, I always see something that can't be unseen. Halloween, a holiday not traditionally known for its conservative values, was no exception in Fells Point. I didn't exactly "overindulge," but we were out until the wee hours of the morning.

I recommend the heart rate monitor - definitely a great way to insure a rest day - as long as you can listen to the numbers.
