AM: 4 miles easy
PM: 9 miles easy
Slow recovery day: I'm pretty sure that T. Boone Pickens, a Jack Russell Tarrier with amputated legs, a glacier, and plate tectonics all ran past me on my morning run. It was definitely a bleary-eyed shuffle. I had a long weekend of running, so I suppose this makes sense.
My evening run was also less-than glamorous. Because it was dark, cold and blustery, the Chevy Chase neighborhoods seemed totally vacant. In fact, it was a little creepy. No medals are awarded on nights like tonight, when running seems even more thankless and all you want is to be home and done with your loved one and/or inside your Snuggie. Sometimes you just have to suck it up and get it in.
